Monster!

I just happened upon the Templeton leg of the Central Coast Monster Skate Series. These talented "kids" (some are "older") can catch some serious air and/while pulling off some great tricks. It was perfect weather for the event. The next day we got 100 degree heat! I'm glad for them and ME, we were spared from that!
Have a look at these talented skater's and be sure to support local talent wherever you find them.

Val & Jason

You couldn't ask for a nicer young couple. They did me a favor by hanging out for a couple of hours and geting some post wedding shots done. Val & Jason are a great example of what's good about kids these days. Thanks guys!

Economy ...

Precious Grace
Meet Grace.
Grace is giving me her best stink eye!
I don't think I deserve it but in her book ... I'm potential trouble.
Grace's papa, Scott is a hard working hero. He starts early, has recently cut his rates to get hired and then gives the same service in spite of the situation. Situation? "It's the ecomony stupid!" And for many hard working Americans it's a pain too.
Scott is a carpenter in California (you know where a bunch of housing starts have been down) which means there is a whole lot less work these days and the competition to get what's left is fierce.
For Scott, everything happening around him has been tempered by his outlook. He trusts in his God and looks forward to time with his wife and his little angel Grace.
Grace doesn't care to much about me but oh, how she loves her papa. She doesn't care much about the economy either and fortunately for her, her papa lives a frugal lifestyle. Grace and her family are going to be fine.
My heart goes out to all those unsung heros of California who every day pick up their bags and head off to a long day of tough times. Here is to them and their angels.
Thank you!

Amazing

March 14th was looking pretty cold and rainy but the clouds moved aside and the sun came out in all it's glory for Amber & Steve's amazing wedding. There is always an opportunity for chaos at a wedding but all was smooth sailing thanks to Aubrey of Cypress Ridge.

One of the most amazing aspects of this wedding was the "family ties" that could be felt and seen. Each toast created more tears of joy and made for some foggy lenses! A big thanks to my two assistants Chris Ortega and my son Reuben. They made this day all that more special.
Thank you especially to Amber & Steve for a fantastic day and experience. You guys make an awesome pair and I know that your love is going to be infectious wherever you go!

Sample Albums are Cool

SAMP3
What can I say, I'm stoked!
There is nothing quite like a full 24"x 12" photo spread across two pages.
I've been a little behind in the promo/marketing department and with a bridal show just around the corner thought I'd better get something fresh together. I saw so many different album options at the WPPI in Vegas that it took me until now to decide on these. I have two more coming in about two weeks, so I'll have more to show soon.
In spite of the procastination on my part, these samples came exactly one week after I ordered them! Most nice albums take 4 weeks but these have a quick turn around and the quality of the prints and binding is fantastic. Thanks to my flickr pal Christine for the referrel to Millers Labs.
SAMP1
This brushed aluminum cover actually picks up tint from objects in the room like my tan covered walls. Isn't it an amazing looking cover?
SAMP10
One very cool option with this album company is the companion albums they offer. Notice the little album with the exact same layout. Both albums are printed on metallic paper and in a panoramic style (the photos run across the page without a break). The companion albums are perfect for parents, family members or just for friends. They are ordered along with the main album so there is a significant cost savings.
SAMP12
The companion album is much thinner but the print quality is exactly the same. The smallest size is 4x5 which would work for a purse book. Who wants to lug around a 12x12 album?
Stay tuned, there is much more to see soon!

Amber & Steve

With the wedding just around the corner, and the weather looking unpredictable, you'd think these folks would be stressin' and creating havoc but not Amber & Steve. Their laid back attitude really makes the difference. Although I know we'll have sunny skies on their big day; even if we don't, the love that pours from these two will fill the room with joy!
